Winners of the 2021 Sydney International Piano Competition Revealed

July 17th, 2021 marked the conclusion of the Finals for this year’s Sydney International Piano Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions.  Despite being held online, this year’s competition was as fierce as ever featuring 32 talented competitors from all across the globe.

Congratulations to Italian-Slovenian pianist Alexander Gadijiev, who emerged as the winner of the Ernest Hutcheson First Prize! Also, congratulations to the other finalists for their extraordinary performances! We’re extremely excited for the wonderful futures that lie ahead of them. Results: Alexander Gadijiev (1st prize), Artem Yasynskyy (2nd prize), Calvin Abdiel (3rd prize), Alice Burla (4th prize), Ádám Balogh (5th prize), and Shion Ota (6th prize).

Among the finalists, Ádám Balogh, Calvin Abdiel, Artem Yasynskyy and Alexander Gadjiev chose a FAZIOLI piano for their performances (one or more).
